About the Team
Growth Product team at Coupang is seeking an experienced Product Manager to oversee and improve aspects of the performance marketing. Especially, Growth Product team plays a critical role in shaping the customer and shopper experience outside Coupang and requiring multiple external collaborations with domestic/global advertising publishers.
In this Senior Product Manager role, you will be responsible for setting and owning key performance indicators that support the team's overall goals and objectives. You will design hypotheses, methodology, systems, and metrics to effectively track and evaluate the adoption, performance, and progress of products. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement systemic solutions within the Marketing systems.
The role is currently based out of Seoul, South Korea.
Role Overview
As a product manager for the Growth Product team, you will be responsible for 2 advertising domains - Display Ads and PCS (Price Comparison Shopping). You will focus on improving the internal system that manage product catalog, blacklist, audience, and API integration for our business stakeholders across millions of catalog items and key data points such as title, price, delivery, etc. Also, you will collaborate with leaders of engineering, data science, operations, and various teams to help improve customer experience, make Coupang better and drive opportunities for future marketing growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and communicate product vision, roadmaps, goals, and milestones for Display Ads and PCS
- Define use case, product requirements, documents, and proposals with a clear MVP (Minimum Viable Product) definition and success metrics
- Collaborate, communicate, and provide progress reports with key stakeholders and domestic/global Ad partners
- Identify and prioritize support resources necessary to achieve successful outcomes
- Manage the end-to-end operating plan and process in coordination with relevant teams to successfully achieve OKRs (Objective Key Results)
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, management, and information Services or related quantitative fields
- 5+ years of experience with product management, program management, consulting, or marketing channel management working utilizing Agile software development methodologies
- Experience gathering requirements from various stakeholders and turning them into a product solution
- Experience managing the entire product development lifecycle and overseeing pre- and post-launch execution
- Experience identifying key opportunities and developing product visions, strategies, and roadmaps that align with broader organizational goals
- Deep-dive analytical skills that can take ambiguous problems and translate them into scoped features and projects
- Demonstrated ability to understand technical challenges and make educated trade-offs between time, resources, and business needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others without authority
- A willingness to adapt and find creative solutions in a constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in product management, program management, consulting, or marketing channel management is a plus
- Experience working in international environments and globally distributed teams is a plus
- Experience working with marketing, marketing automation technology, and/or advertising technology is a plus
- Experience working with advertising platforms such as Naver, Kakao, Google, and Meta is a plus
- SQL/HQL and/or technical development background is a plus
- Fluency in English and Korean preferred, but not required
- Solid grasp on A/B test & control fundamentals

In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
- In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
- The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
